The FBI is investigating what it’s describing as a potentially imminent terrorist threat against the Los Angeles Metro system.

Authorities received specific information about the threat, but investigators are trying to determine whether the threat is credible, ABC News reports.

The FBI received a tip from an international partner that the threat was for this morning against the red line Metro.

The international partner received an anonymous call reporting a threat.

Law enforcement officials confirmed to TMZ that the Secret Service and deputies in Greene County, Ohio, met Monday with a man who posted, “kill Trump” on Facebook.

Agents asked the man if he was serious, and he responded, “Not unless he starts going door-to-door rounding up people like he says.”

The Secret Service determined he was not a serious threat.

The Secret Service was notified that North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr joked about gun owners shooting Hillary Clinton.

The comments were captured on a recording, the Daily Beast reports.

Burr walked into a gun shop and spotted a magazine about rifles in the store “with a picture of Hillary Clinton on the front of it.”

Burr said “nothing made me feel better” than seeing that image.

“I was a little bit shocked at that—it didn’t have a bullseye on it,” Burr jokes to a crowd in Mooresville, North Carolina. “But on the bottom right (of the magazine), it had everybody for federal office in this particular state that they should vote for. So let me assure you, there’s an army of support out there right now for our candidates.”

Burr later apologized, saying, “The comment I made was inappropriate, and I apologize for it.”

On the campaign trail, Donald Trump has quipped about Clinton being killed by gun owners.

Careful what you say at a bar.

The Secret Service and police detained a man after a patron said he overheard the suspect threaten Donald Trump in a Brooklyn bar, the New York Daily News reports.

The patron said he overheard Gregory Chang threaten the life of Trump at bar in Williamsburg at about 3:40 p.m.

“I’m going to Lee Harvey Oswald Donald Trump,” Chang is accused of saying.

After the patron heard Chang’s alleged comments, he called police.

Chang was detained and questioned by officers and members of the Secret Service.

He has released without charges.

The Secret Service has tried to contact Donald Trump’s campaign after his suggestion that “Second Amendment people” could stop Hillary Clinton from making Supreme Court picks if she’s elected, according to a CNN report.

But Trump maintains no one tried to contact him and said the CNN report was “a made up story” for ratings.

The Secret Service said the information did not come from the public affairs office, but could not confirm whether someone else in the agency made the statement.

“Those statements did not come from our public affairs office,” said Joseph Casey, a spokesperson for the Secret Service.

This is what Trump said that caused concerns that he was promoting violence against a presidential candidate: “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”

Caller Threatens to Behead Muslims in Disturbing Message

It was an alarming voicemail.

Members of the Masjid Al-Sahaabah mosque in the city of Watauga received a voicemail on July 30 that threatened violence against Muslims, Fox4 reports.

“I’m a Christian, I’m gonna tell you, I’m your f***ing enemy. I hate you, and I will never be your f**kin’ friend,” he said in the message. “We will cut all your heads off, you understand me? All of you.”

The FBI is now investigating.

Members of the mosque said they regularly receive obscenity-filled phone messages, but this one was the most disturbing.

“I want to be very clear that the Muslim community has no animosity towards the Christian community, but we do ask the Christian community stand up against this kind of hatred,” Alia Salem, Executive Director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), told Fox4. “This does not speak for the vast majority of Christians.”

Donald Trump’s friend and personal butler for nearly two decades didn’t change his tone after the Secret Service questioned him about death threats he appeared to make toward President Obama.

“I think they wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to go in there with a rifle,” Senecal told The Martinsburg Journal . “I told them it was too far to drive. I lived in Washington and hated it. I’m glad I got the hell out of there.”

Senecal previously said Obama “needs to be hung for treason.”

But now he says that he doesn’t want to kill the president himself, but he hopes someone else does.

“I think it should have been done by the military in the first term—they still have a chance to do it,” he said.

Experts to Homeland Security: Don’t Use Color-Coded Terror Threat Index

After Homeland Security stopped issuing its color-coded terror threat index five years ago, the agency has struggled to find a better way to alert the public.

In 2014, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson proposed a new system of reds, yellows and greens.

But the Institute of Defense Analysis, which was hired to review the new system, said the colors were a “disaster” for communicating terror threats, the Associated Press reports.

“DHS should learn from its own history and avoid repeating this error,” the consultants said in its 53-page report.

The chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee also scoffed at the color codes.

“DHS spent $90,000 on a question we already know the answer to,” said Sen. Ron Johnson, a Wisconsin Republican who has introduced a bill for border metrics. “Measuring the security across our borders is complex and requires sophisticated and consistent metrics — not a series of colors.”
