Teen Charged in Chicago with Stealing FBI-Issued SUV That Contained Guns, Tactical Gear

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with stealing an FBI-issued SUV after an agent left the vehicle running at a gas station in Chicago early Monday.

When the white 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was stolen from a gas station on the Near West Side at 1 a.m., the SUV contained several firearms and tactical gear, including a bulletproof vest.

The teen was charged as a juvenile with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, aggravated battery to a government employee and vehicular hijacking, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Later Monday, police tracked down the SUV after it received a parking ticket parked less than a half-mile away from the FBI Chicago Field Office.

A tow truck removed the SUV, and some of the stolen gear was found in another vehicle earlier in the day.

Police arrested the teen about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Teen Impersonates FBI Agent to Take New Dodge Charger from Dealership, Crashes

A teenager from Michigan crashed a new Dodge Charger after he convinced a car dealer that he was an FBI agent and wanted to test drive the car, the Associated Press reports.

The Ann Arbor 17-year-old, who was carrying what appeared to be a firearm on his hip, told the dealership in Ypsilanti Township that he was testing the car for the bureau.

The teen drove the car all the way to Toledo, Ohio, before heavily damage it in a crash.

When police in Ohio questioned him, he repeated his story that he was an FBI agent, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

The teen is expected to be charged soon in both Ohio and Michigan.

Alabama Man Gets 20 Years in Prison for Assaulting Border Patrol Agents, Causing Deadly Crash

An Alabama man who assaulted Border Patrol agents in Texas and then caused a crash that killed two people and severely injured another, will spend 20 years in prison, reports.

David Steiner, 39, charged at three Border Patrol agents with a stolen car while trying to flee from a traffic stop in May 2012. He later crashed into an oncoming car.

A U.S. District judge sentenced him to 20 years in prison, reported.

Steiner pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding an officer by using a deadly or dangerous weapon.

Border Patrol Shoots at Suspicious Driver in Texas; Car Crashes, Catches Fire

Border Patrol agents opened fire on a stolen car when the driver tried to run over agents in a desperate attempt to flee Tuesday, News 4 WOAI reports.

The incident happened after agents pulled over the car after discovering it was stolen.

But when agents got out to talk to the driver, he reversed the car and tried to hit the agents, a Border Patrol spokesperson told News 4.

After agents opened fire, the driver crashed through a fence and hit a tree before the car caught fire, News 4 reported.

Agents rescued the driver, who was in serious condition at a San Antonio hospital, according to News 4.
