The FBI was called to a Florida school after officials saw him acting suspiciously and taking photos of students outside Umatilla High School in Lake County.

But after talking with the man, who appeared to be nervous and sweating, the FBI released the photographer because there was no evidence of criminal activity, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

The man had inconsistent stories, saying his girlfriend attended the high school, but none of the three names he gave were found in school records.

Part of his car was smeared in sunscreen, and divorce papers were found in his vehicle.

“We did everything we possibly could, to include identifying him, running him for a warrants check, interviewing him, searching his vehicle, trespassing him, and notifying the school district, FBI, and FDLE,” Lake County Sheriff’s spokesman John Herrell said. “His behavior, while extremely odd by any standard, didn’t violate any laws.”

The FBI is investigating the fatal shooting of a man by two sheriff’s deputies in Texas after the incident was caught on cellphone video.

Two Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies shot Gilbert Flores, 41, in his front lawn while it appeared he had his hands raised in the air, My San Antonio reports.

“We coordinate our investigation to ensure that we are not interfering with (BSCO’s) investigation,” said FBI spokeswoman Michelle Lee. “They have been extremely cooperative and transparent.”

It’s unclear whether Flores was carrying a weapon, and authorities have declined to release records on the incident.

FBI Agent: LA County Jail Deputies Forced Inmates to Fight While Being Filmed

The federal investigation of the Los Angeles County jails involved “dozens, if not hundreds” of allegations of violence at the hands of deputies, an FBI agent testified Wednesday. The Los Angeles Times reports that inmates claimed they were assaulted by guards and were forced to fight, sometimes while being filmed.

FBI Special Agent David Dahle acknowledged the claims would be difficult to corroborate since the witnesses are inmates.

“When your main victims are inmates and potentially the defendants are law enforcement, it’s difficult to prove those cases when your victims are seen by many as inherently untrustworthy,” he said.

The trial includes six sheriff’s deputies accused of obstruction of justice and conspiracy charges.

Sheriff’s deputies in the  Los Angeles area  are accused of unlawfully targeting black residents in public housing, the Associated Press reports.

Deputies for the Lancaster and Palmdale Sheriff’s Departments are under investigation for allegedly making unnecessary stops, seizures and force.

The findings follow a two-year investigation, the AP reported.

“While our investigation showed significant problems in LASD’s Antelope Valley stations, we are confident that we will be able to reach an agreement that will provide meaningful and sustainable reform,” Roy Austin Jr., deputy assistant attorney general, told the AP.
