Four pieces of art painted by a man in prison for murdering two FBI agents are being removed by a Washington state agency.

The Retired FBI Agents Association complained about the paintings, which are hanging near the front doors of the state Department of Labor and Industries’ headquarters in Tumwater, Washington, Capital Justice reports.

Leonard Peltier, 71, a Native American activist, created the paintings while in prison for murdering two FBI agents during a standoff on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in 1975.

“He’s nothing but a thug,” said retired FBI agent Ray Lauer. “He’s an unrepentant cop killer.”

“For the state of Washington to use taxpayers’ dollars to basically offer a free art gallery to somebody who is a convicted cop killer, I find it, as a law enforcement officer, appalling and quite frankly disgusting as taxpayer also,” Lauer said.

The paintings were part of an exhibit to celebrate National American Indian Heritage Month.

A former Border Patrol agent faces up to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder in the fatal shooting of a man who had been dating his wife, the Corpus Christi Caller Times reports.

Adam S. Garibay pleaded guilty Monday to the shooting death of Keith J. Martin at the victim’s parents’ home in Corpus Christi.

Garibay said he was heartbroken and couldn’t remember the shooting.

“It was too much for my mind and heart and I broke inside. I am at a loss for living or reason,” said a document admitted as evidence in a punishment hearing that began Monday.

Garibay shot Martin 10 times from behind, police said.

Luna, who has been charged with capital murder and other crimes, is jailed without bond.

He is a 6-year veteran of the agency.

Newly released records show that members of the Wu-Tang Clan were investigated by the FBI for allegedly ordering the murder of two men in 1999, Billboard reports.

The documents stem from a federal trial of two Staten Island drug kingpins, who may have been murdered in retaliation for robbing Wu-Tang founding members RZA and Raekwon’s family members.

The drug kingpins, who are brothers Anthony and Harvey Christian, were found guilty last October of running a major drug-dealing operation.

One of the defendant’s lawyer requested police files related to Wu-Tang Clan’s alleged involvement in the murder of two men.

“These reports seem to suggest someone else was liable for those murders. I’m not suggesting that Wu-Tang committed these crimes. The FBI did,” Anthony Christian’s lawyer Michael Gold told theStaten Island Advance. “What I’m trying to ascertain is their stated belief in an official file that Wu-Tang ordered this homicide.”

The information was shocking.

“A couple of weeks before the Boo Boo [Estellashooting, Uncles (the street name of drug supplier-turned-informant Paul Ford) told Humphreys about a Blood named Boo Boo who just came home from jail,” the filing reads. “He stated that Boo Boo had robbed RZA’s little brother and had also gotten into something with the Christian brothers.”

It continues, “Uncles was talking about Boo Boo and said that he had just come home and robbed RZA’s brother and that they would likely come after him for that. Humphreys believes Uncles was referring to members of Wu Tang.”

A Mexican man was sentenced to 27 years in prison for his part in killing Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in 2010, Reuters reports.

Rosario Burboa-Alvarez, who pleaded guilty in August to first-degree murder, hired six men to rob marijuana smugglers and retrieve a cache of weapons near the border.

The men ended up in a gun battle that claimed the life of Terry.

“Agent Terry’s murder was a tragically foreseeable consequence of Defendant’s recruitment of a ‘rip crew’ to engage in armed robberies,” prosecutors said in a sentencing memorandum.

Some of the weapons left behind were traced to the U.S. government’s flawed “Fast and Furious” gun-running probe.

The FBI is helping investigate whether a Cleveland truck driver linked to five killings was responsible for any other slayings, the Cleveland Dispatch reports.

Robert Rembert Jr., 45, who served prison time for a 1997 shooting death, has been charged with aggravated murder in the deaths of three people this year and one in 1997.

Rembert has been dubbed a “serial killer” by Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty, who said investigators are examining Rembert’s truck routes to determine if he was involved in any other slayings.

Rembert is accused of sexually assaulting and strangling to death two women in June. He’s also accused of fatally shooting two men in the head last month.

Violent Crime Declined Modestly Nationwide, FBI Report Says

Violent crime dropped nationwide in 2014, according to the FBI’s annual Uniform Crime Report.

While the .2% decline is modest, the report shows fewer murders than any year since 2009. Robbery, burglary, theft and arson also have declined, CNN reports.

Some cities, however, saw spikes in murders: Baltimore, Milwaukee and Washington.

“We have witnessed a remarkable drop in crime since the 1980’s — both violent crime and crime overall. Entire cities have been transformed, unlocking tremendous potential and releasing a wave of prosperity,” Deputy Attorney General Sally Quillian Yates said, adding that “even though crime is trending downward in most places, we are seeing pockets of rising violence in various locations across the country.”
