A Los Angeles fugitive described by investigators as a “hot prowl rapist” has been added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list.
Greg Alyn Carlson fled while on bail after being arrested for sexually assaulting a woman and is considered “armed and dangerous,” the Los Angeles Times reports. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-fbi-fugitive-predator-la-20180927-story.html
The FBI is offering a $100,000 read for information that leads to the capture of Carlson, who investigators was involved in at least three sexual assaults in the past 15 years.
Investigators warned that Carlson broke into women’s home while and sexual assaulted them at knifepoint.
“Greg Alyn Carlson joins the notorious Top Ten list because he is considered an enemy to the public, and we believe his violence may escalate,” said Paul D. Delacourt, the assistant FBI director in charge of the Los Angeles office. “My hope is that his photograph will be viewed by many on the internet, on every phone, in every newspaper and on television sets across the world until he is caught.”

A cooperating witness whose testimony led to the indictment of Russian nationals during the special counsel investigation of the Kremlin meddling in the presidential election says he fears for his life.
Richard Pinedo, of California, told a court that he “lives in a constant state of fear” that Russians will seek retribution, ABC News reports.
Pinedo, whose sentencing guidelines call for 12 to 19 months in prison, pleaded guilty to identify fraud for his involvement in selling bank accounts to Russians.
His attorney, Jeremy Lessem, is asking the judge for a non-custodial sentence, saying he “has suffered, and will continue to suffer, in ways far beyond what anyone else convicted of a similar offense would expect.”
