The son of jailed Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, was among six men kidnapped by seven armed men who stormed into trendy restaurant in the Mexican resort Puerto Vallarta.

CNN reports that the Jesus Alfredo Guzman, 29, was kidnapped shortly after 1 a.m. Monday.

Jesus Alfredo Guzman is believed to be involved with the Sinaloa Cartel. At least three of the others who were kidnapped are said to have ties with organized crime.

“At this moment, we have identified four of the kidnapped,” Jalisco Attorney General Eduardo Almaguer said, “one of them being Jesus Alfredo Guzman.”

Almaguer said no one reported the men missing, and authorities have not heard from the kidnappers.

House Committee to Investigate Whether Clinton Perjured Herself

The House Judiciary Committee plans to grill FBI officials next month to determine whether Hillary Clinton committed perjury when she testified before Congress last year about her use of private e-mail servers.

The date and witness list have not yet been determined, but FBI Director James Comey is expected to testify, the USA Today reports.

Two top Republicans sent a letter to U.S. Attorney Channing Phillips outlining examples that they believe show Clinton’s sworn testimony contradicted evidence gathered during the FBI’s investigation of Clinton.

“During a House Select Committee on Benghazi hearing on October 22, 2015, Secretary Clinton testified with respect to whether she sent or received emails that were marked classified at the time; whether her attorneys reviewed each of the emails on her personal email system; whether there was one or more servers that stored work-related emails during her time as secretary of state; and whether she provided all her work-related emails to the Department of State,” Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., and House oversight committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, wrote.

Clinton has claimed her testimony was truthful and consistent with public statements she made about her e-mails while he was secretary of state.

Open Letter to Secret Service: Assign People of Color to Protect Trump

The Moderate Voice

As a Latino and a naturalized U.S. citizen, I am aghast at the derogatory and condescending comments the Republican presidential nominee makes time and time again about Muslim Americans, Latinos and African Americans — even about women.

As a veteran who served his adopted country “meritoriously” for 20 years, I am deeply disturbed when Mr. Trump makes unbelievably insensitive remarks about Gold Star parents.

As an American, I am awestruck by the daunting responsibilities and inspiring accomplishments of the Secret Service and its members, especially by those entrusted with the protection of our national leaders and, during our national elections, of major presidential and vice-presidential candidates and nominees.

I also understand and honor the sacrifices, including the ultimate sacrifice, made by Secret Service personnel in their full dedication and commitment to “duty, honor and country.” The Service’s “Wall of Honor” amply attests to this.

Finally, I applaud the Service’s “overarching goal” to recruit and maintain a diverse and inclusive work force and the Service’s formal declaration that “diversity is about more than race and gender. [That] diversity includes everyone, encompassing our unique differences as well as what we have in common.”

Considering all this, I genuinely believe that the Secret Service should assign its most elite African-American, Latino and Muslim-American agents — including women — to protect the Republican presidential nominee.

FBI: Ex-Marine Harassed, Threatened Catholic Diocese from His Boat

A former Marine is facing rare stalking charges after the FBI said he harassed and threatened the Catholic Diocese of Knoxville and its parishes from his boat in California.

Authorities arrested David Andrew Webb, 40, last month in Chula Vista on a sealed complaint that alleges he stalked the church and used a phone to “engage in a course of conduct that caused substantial emotional distress to the victims and placed them in reasonable fear of death or serious bodily injury,” the Knoxville News Sentinel said.

According to federal officials, Webb became irate after he said the Catholic church deprived him of contact with his 13-year-old son. He also is accused of leaving profanity-laced threats to the Knoxville diocese, the bishop and its parishes for more than a year.

Here’s an example of one of those messages:

“Your diocese owes me over a billion,” Webb said. “I’m not (expletive) playing. I haven’t seen my son in probably four or five (expletive) years because of your (expletives) religion. … You do not want me coming in to your (expletive) churches on Easter (expletive) Sunday.”

Maryland Man Who Plowed into CIA Headquarters Gate Pleads Guilty

A Maryland man has pleaded guilty to ramming his Ford Focus through the gate at CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, in June.

Thomas Luu, 35, managed to drive his car at least 75 feet onto the compound after slamming through an 8-foot-tall fence with barbed wire.

“The gate is clearly marked with a sign that notifies visitors that it is closed; there also are ‘no trespassing’ signs in the immediate area,” investigators said.

Investigators said Luu admitted he crashed the gate to get the CIA’s attention, but he didn’t explain specifics.

His mother said her son was distraught by the mass shooting inside an Orlando nightclub, which occurred the night before.

A judge ordered Luu to two years of supervised probation and 30 days in jail.
